Title I School-wide is a federally funded program to serve the needs of all students in the areas of math and reading within a public school. This program is set in place by the Richardton-Taylor Public School to assist all students at the Taylor-Richardton Elementary School. Every student attending Taylor-Richardton Elementary School has the opportunity to receive academic assistance through the Title I program in math and/or reading. A student's academic status is not a determining factor to receive services. If a student, the parents/guardians, or teacher of that student indicate that assistance is needed for the student, s/he is eligible to receive services.
The Title I program at Taylor-Richardton Elementary at one time was a targeted program. In the targeted program assistance was given only to students that were struggling academically in the areas of math and reading. Today, we are part of the school-wide program which can assist all students.
