Raider News: Good afternoon. We are looking forward to seeing you and your child at conferences tonight and tomorrow night. Students have conference appointment times. However, schedules by the doors will show open times that you may also meet with teachers. We look forward to seeing you soon!

The Richardton-Taylor Public School will start late tomorrow, Monday, March 4th, 2024. School will start at 10:35 am. Buses will be running. Shuttles will leave Taylor at 9:55 am and Richardton at 10:10 am.

The Raider FB Rumble that was scheduled for today in Richardton is postponed due to weather.

The RTHS Student Council is putting on our annual Snow Days event on March 13th. We will have themed dress up days for 7th-12th graders on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The 7-12th grade will then be bused to Dickinson to go bowling & ice skating. Once they return, we will have a volleyball tournament for the 7-12th graders in the gym during the afternoon. While the 7-12th graders are in Dickinson, the 5th & 6th grade classes will be doing fun events at the school. Please see attached link for Snow Day Events Flyer. https://5il.co/2fuow

JH BBB jersey turn in and pizza party will be on Thursday, February 22nd from 3:30-5:00 @ TRE. Kids can hop on a shuttle bus after school but will need to be picked up by parents/guardians at 5:00.

The Varsity BBB team will travel to Elgin tomorrow, February 17th for their District 5 Tournament Play In game vs GCMR. The game will begin at 6:00 MT. The winner will advance to the district tournament that will begin in Bowman on Friday, February 23rd to take on the #2 seeded Bowman County Bulldogs. The team is asking for everyone to wear your Raider blue for a “blue out” theme tomorrow night!

Raider Reminder: Tomorrow, Monday, February 12th is a professional development day for staff. There is No School for students.

The RTPS Student Council is selling Hugs juice & Crush soda for a Valentine’s Day fundraiser. It is $0.50 for a Hugs juice & $1.00 for a Crush soda. We sell during lunch time at school, and will be selling this evening during the AB BBB games in Richardton. We will deliver to students during the school day on the 14th at both Taylor & Richardton schools . If you would like to order you can contact jen.frank@k12.nd.us before 3:15 on Monday the 12th of February.

The Primary Residence Credit (PRC) was established during the 2023 Legislative Session under House Bill 1158. The credit provides all North Dakota homeowners with the option to apply for a state property tax credit through the North Dakota Office of State Tax Commissioner. Due to the power outages across SW ND, Beach & RTPS mutually decided it's best to postpone the GBB District Play In Game scheduled for this evening. That game will be played tomorrow in Richardton. Tomorrow will be a busy day in both the Richardton & Taylor gyms. JH BBB tournament games will still begin at 3:00 MT in Taylor. JH BBB tournament games in Richardton will be moved up to the following: -RT 7th vs. Flasher 7th 2:00 MT @ RTHS -RT 8th vs. Dickinson Trinity 8th 3:00 MT @ RTHS After the two JH BBB games in Richardton the gym will need to be cleared. JH BBB games will still begin at original times on Saturday and all Saturday games will be played in Taylor. Cost for tournament games is $5.00 adults & $2.00 students. Yearly Activity Passes will not work for admission. The HS GBB District Play In Game vs. Beach will begin at 4:30 MT @RTHS Cost to get in is set by the district at $10.00 adults & $5.00 students. Yearly Activity Passes will not work for admission. After the girls' game we will once again need to clear the gym. There will be readmission for the JV/Varsity BBB game which will be set to begin at approximately 6:00 & 7:30 MT. Cost for these games will be the normal $7.00 adults & $5.00 students and Yearly Activity Passes DO work for these games. It will be senior night before varsity warmups for our 2 senior boys' basketball players! Go Raiders!

After communicating with Beach, it has been determined that with the District Game Deadlines and Improving Road Conditions that the District GBB Play In Game scheduled for 6:00 tonight in Richardton will still be on. The game will be streamed on NFHS for those who can't make it. The winner of tonight's game will move onto the District Tourney in Glen Ullin on Saturday, February 10th at approximately 5:00 MT vs. the #2 seeded Flasher Bulldogs.

Due to weather and road conditions, The Richardton-Taylor School District will be virtual today. Elementary received packets to complete for learning. High school will virtual learn with instructors beginning at 8:30 am. Schedule is attached. Please access schedule at. https://5il.co/2ees5

The Varsity GBB team will host a district play in game on Thursday, February 8th at 6:00 MT in Richardton. The #7 Raiders will play the #10 Beach Buccaneers. The winner of this game will advance to the district tournament which will begin on Saturday, February 10th in Glen Ullin. Ticket prices for this game are set by the district and will be $10 for adults and $5 for students. Everyone must pay, and yearly activity passes do not work for this post season tournament game.

Due to the other team not having enough players, the JH boys games tonight will be 2 quarters 7th grade followed by a full 8th grade game in Taylor. 7th grade will still begin at 4:00 MT.
