The RTPS Student Council will be putting on our annual food drive at school from November 1st-December 1st. We ask that students in grades 5-12 bring items to donate to the food drive. Items are worth certain points based on the product's demand. See the attached link to view which items are worth the most points and for ideas of items to donate. The student council will award a pizza & ice-cream party to the class that has the most points at the end of the food drive.

Dear RTHS Parents and Guardians,

We’re proud to celebrate the completion of Quarter 1 of the 2025–2026 school year! Our students have shown great effort & growth these past few months.

A Quick Reminder on Personal Devices:
We’ve noticed an increase in student cell phone and electronic device use during class. To keep learning focused and free from distractions, we want to remind everyone of our device policy outlined in the RTHS Student Handbook and supported by SB 2354 (2025 Legislative Session).

Personal electronic devices that are not to be used during the school day include, but are not limited to, cell phones, tablets, smartwatches, headphones/earbuds, Bluetooth accessories, and gaming devices. These items should be left at home/vehicle or silenced and put away in the “Yondr pouches” that were supplied by the school upon first bell of the day. The devices must remain secured throughout the entire school day until the final bell sounds. This helps us maintain a positive and focused learning environment for all students. School-owned or approved instructional devices are the only exception.

If a student is found using a personal device during the school day, we will follow the RTPS policy for consequences. Parents will be notified through ROOMS with details of the infraction and next steps. A sample form showing how this communication looks along with the consequences for violation has been attached as a link to this message for your reference.

Thank you for helping us keep RTHS a place where students can focus, learn, and succeed. We appreciate your support, and we are looking forward to another great quarter ahead.

Sincerely,

RTHS Administration
