The HS VB games in Belfield tomorrow, September 5th will now be AB only beginning at 5:30 pm. Belfield does not have enough players to play a C squad game.

The JH VB jamboree in Killdeer this evening begins at 4:00, however we are scheduled for the second game of the jamboree which will begin at approximately 4:50 pm at the Killdeer High School.

Reminder: There will be a Trap Club parent meeting tonight at the Taylor Trap Club at 5:30 for anyone grades 6-12 interested in shooting trap this fall.

9-12 grade VB parents: Join the HS VB team this Thursday from 5:20-5:45. Parents are welcome to come watch the last 10 mins of practice and then have a chance to meet the coaches and go over what to expect this VB season from 5:30-5:45!

R-T will have the annual bus workshop this Wednesday Aug 28, 2024 starting at 5:00 pm. If you drive any school vehicle this is mandatory training. Please call with questions.

Practice updates: JH VB will practice 3:30-5:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday this week @ RTHS. Monday & Thursday will still be 5:00-6:30 @ TRE. HS VB will practice 3:30-5:30 Monday & Thursday, 5:00-7:00 on Tuesday & Wednesday, and 6:00 am-7:30 am on Friday this week all @ RTHS.

The Richardton-Taylor Public School District is in need of a route bus driver. A class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements are required. We will train the right individual to receive the required licensing . The pay would be between $21-$25/hour and is part time. Practice changes: Friday, August 16th HS FB will practice 6:30-9:00 am with no evening practice. JH VB first practice will be moved to 5:30-6:30 pm @ RTHS on Monday, August 19th following the RTPS open house.

Start dates for Fall Sports are as follows: High School Football begins today August 8th Cross Country for students grades 6-12 begins Monday, August 12th. JH Football begins on Thursday, August 15th. High School Volleyball & JH Volleyball both begin on Monday, August 19th. Elementary Girls Basketball for grades 4-6 begins on Tuesday, August 20th. Mini Raiders Basketball Camps will be held in Richardton this summer. The Mini Girls’ camp will be June 17th-19th & the Mini Boys’ Camp will be July 10th-12th. There will be a volleyball camp offered by our RTPS volleyball coaches on June 26th & 27th in Richardton. Please view the attached link for more information. The Richardton-Taylor School Board invites the public to participate in a school demographic planning meeting in accordance with NDCC 15.1-07-26. This open public meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 6:30 PM at Richardton-Taylor High School, with the regular board meeting to follow. At this forum, the school board will discuss and receive public input on how three- and five-year demographics may impact academic achievement, instructional, administrative, and ancillary staffing, co-curricular or extracurricular programs, facility needs and utilization, district property tax levies, and the district’s strategic plan. The RTHS Student Council & PAWS are sponsoring an end of year event for students in grades 5-12. This will take place from 12:45pm-3:15 pm on the last day of school. All students must have a waiver form signed and brought back to the school in order to participate. Forms were sent home with 5th/6th graders. The Extracurricular Awards Banquet will be held on Monday, May 20th @ 6:00 pm in the RTHS multipurpose room. The Raider Booster Club will be providing the main course. They ask that 8th graders, Freshmen, and Sophomores bring a dessert & juniors, seniors bring a side/salad. Those invited are anyone that would have received a varsity letter (participated at the varsity level) in the following: -Cross Country -Volleyball -Football -Student Congress -One Acts -Girls' Basketball -Boys' Basketball -Speech -State Music, Northwest Music, Northern Plains Music Festival, JH All-State -Track & Field -Rodeo -All Co-op sports with Dickinson High School (Girls' Hockey, Girls' Wrestling, Softball)

The Raider Elementary Football Camp will still be held this evening beginning at 5:30 pm. Please come early if you have not yet registered. If weather is not cooperating, the camp will be held inside the Richardton gym instead of on the football field. Please send kids with gym shoes just in case!
