We are now sending alerts with Apptegy! Here's what to know:

-Texts will come from 98900.

- Voice Alerts and Calls will come from (501) 712-2633.

- Pick up and say Hello so the message will play!

In an effort to improve the reliability and consistency of the alerting system provided by Apptegy, the numbers that calls and texts originate from is changing from our school's phone number to an Arkansas number (Apptegy).

Please ensure that the number (501) 712-2633 is not blocked on your phone. You can add the number to your phone's contacts as 'RT Alerts' or whatever you prefer. When an all-call is sent, it should appear on your phone as whatever you chose to name the contact. Make sure you say 'hello' after answering the call to have the message play.

Text message alerts will come from 98900, and you can add this to your contacts too, although it is less likely that it will have issues.

Hopefully, this change will resolve issues for all that have not been receiving phone calls.

The Cause

Apptegy is currently dealing with the way the state of North Dakota is set up. Our state blocks numbers placing a call that use a technique to appear as coming from somewhere else. Normally, the call would appear to be from 974-2111, but in reality it is coming from another number. You may know this in it's malicious form: spoofing. While it causes issues for a legitimate use-case like this, it is commendable that our state appears to be trying to mitigate phone number spoofing, especially since it has become more common.

Thank you for working with us while everything is getting ironed out!
