Reminder: Class of 2024’s ”Colors for Cancer” color run is coming up on August 11th. Check in will be at 5:30 MT in the RTHS parking lot. It’s a 5k so people are welcome to run/walk! The run starts at 6pm with a Burger & Hotdog social open to the community after the race.

RTPS is excited to announce that we have officially started our own cross country program.
Practices will begin on August 14th. Practice times will be announced soon, once schedules are complete.
Anyone interested in 7-12 grade cross country please reach out to AD Jordyn Mason or Cross Country Coach Ryan Kohler.

HS football will meet by the weight room on the 3rd at 4:30 PM with practice to follow from 5:00-7:30 PM.
There will be a JH FB meeting on August 2nd at 6:00 PM @ the RTHS football field.
The RTHS Senior Class is hosting a “Colors for Cancer” 5k color run on August 11th!
Registration will begin at roughly 5:30 in the RTHS parking lot. Students will be scattered among town with colored powder to throw at runners/walkers. We ask that anyone participating wear a white or light colored shirt or to purchase one of our shirts. There will be prizes for the top finishers of each age range! There will be a hot dog and burger social after the race hosted by the RTHS booster club. A percent of the proceeds will be donated to cancer research.

Upcoming Camp reminders:
-McMurtrey VB Camp at Richardton tomorrow and Tuesday. Times have changed due to lower numbers registered. 8 am-11am session for all registered 6-12 graders & noon-2 pm second session for high schoolers.
-Wednesday, June 28th will be the first day of basketball skills camp in Richardton. Updated schedule on the RTPS website. Feel free to register when you arrive if you haven't yet! 9-10 am grades K-3, 10-11 am grades 4-6, and 11-noon for grades 7-12.
-BSC basketball camp for all high schoolers going into grades 9-12 in Richardton on the 28th & 29th of June from 1-4 pm. This camp is available for HS boys & girls and is no cost to the players since fees were covered by team accounts.
We hope to see high participation at all of these great camp opportunities!

Basketball Summer Skills Camp Important Update!!! The Richardton gym floor is being resurfaced during the same time that Taylor's is being finished since the workers travel from out of state. With that being said, we will have to push our skills camp start date back since the floor cannot be used for a week once this is done. First Skills Camp will now be held in Richardton on Wednesday, June 28th. There WILL NOT be camp June 19th & 21st. We added two new dates to make sure we still have 12 days of camp! Please check the school website for the new Basketball Skills camp dates!

Due to the rainy weather, the 5th & 6th grade field day has been postponed until next Friday, May 19th from 1:00-3:00.
We will have multiple outdoor water activities so feel free to send towels or an extra set of clothes with students.
Parents are welcome to attend.

There is currently an issue with the phone systems for both Richardton and Taylor schools. Calling the schools' numbers from a cellphone will result in a busy line tone. This is an issue with cell towers similar to the 911 issue this weekend.
Consolidated did not have an ETA on the fix. At this moment landlines appear to be working.

Tomorrow, grades K-4 will be going to Mott to watch a movie. The movie is an animated kids movie called Over the Hedge. The rating is PG, so please let the school know if you are not ok with this and we will make other arrangements for your child.

If you plan on purchasing a 2022-2023 yearbook, they are $40. You need to pre-order by April 15th through the front office at RTHS. The yearbooks will be delivered in the Fall.
The HS track meet schedule for this Thursday in Glendive has been moved to Friday, April 7th beginning at 10:00 am.
A JH track meet has been added for Monday, April 10th in Bowman beginning at noon.
We will be taking students to both meets, but the track meets are optional since they are scheduled over Easter break. Make sure students communicate with coaches on if they will be attending or not so we can schedule appropriate bussing.
Due to the upcoming weather forecast, the Elementary Volleyball games in Mott tomorrow evening, April 4th have been canceled.
Track season is always up in the air due to weather! We will do the best we can to keep you updated on any meet changes ASAP.

Hi Parents, Reading night has been changed from March 30th to Monday, April 3rd beginning at 6pm-7pm at Taylor-Richardton Elementary School. We will have lots of fun academic activities for grades K-6. Each class has a chance to win a bike on April 3rd and students must be present to win. Have a great week.
